Terms and conditions
These are the general terms and conditions of Anne-Marie Buedts / Do Your Thing!, registered with the K.B.O. in Belgium under number 0829.292.095. After this ‘Do Your Thing!’.

1. Scope of application
These general terms and conditions apply to every agreement and service provided by Do Your Thing! to the exclusion of the client’s own terms and conditions. It can only be deviated from in writing. Do Your Thing! reserves the right to change these terms and conditions.
2. Services
Psychotherapy
Do Your Thing! offers psychological counseling and psychotherapy. The aim of the counseling is to provide the client with professional support for problems related to his/her well-being and mental health. It enables the client to solve his/her problems and/or deal differently with the challenges of his/her life.
This service is an obligation of means, not an obligation of result. At the start of the guidance, Do Your Thing! a client file. The client undertakes, if requested, to return the completed intake form at the start of the counseling (first session of the basic trajectory). Complaints and requests for help are discussed and translated into a change wish/development goal. This is the starting point for a tailor-made guidance process.
The working method of Do Your Thing! is explained during the first exploratory introductory meeting and is described on www.doyourthing.eu/consultations
Do Your Thing! guarantees a high quality service and makes every effort to correctly present entries on its website and other information channels. However, it may exceptionally occur that certain data contains errors. If an entry contains an obvious mistake, Do Your Thing! reserves the right to cancel any orders based on that obvious mistake.
3. Privacy
Do Your Thing! ensures the privacy of the client and processes his/her personal data for client management: providing good psychological care, information provision regarding services, financial settlement and accounting processing. The client is responsible for the correct transmission of his or her data and any changes thereto.
4. Rates
The rates used are transparent, in accordance with the website and as stated on the signed agreement. Psychotherapy is only provided to private individuals and is exempt from VAT according to art.44.
5. Payment
Payment is made as described on the website and stipulated in the agreement. By payment in advance (optional), after a session or by handing over a report. Any other additional costs will be settled with the next session or paid into the account of Anne-Marie Buedts | Do Your Thing! (according to agreement), but always paid within 10 days after performance. BNP Paribas Fortis BE46 0016 2307 5536.
An administrative fee of €18.00 will be charged for each first reminder that must be sent.
From every second reminder letter, interest is charged at 10% per month and compensation of 10% of the invoice amount, with a minimum of €50.00.
All the above amounts are due and payable by operation of law and without notice of default.
6. Cancellation
Canceling or moving a session is free of charge up to 24 hours before the start. The time of cancellation is the time that the person concerned receives the cancellation via the link in the confirmation email, by email, text message, telephone (mobile phone) or voicemail.
Later cancellations or when the client does not show up will be charged in full. With (prepayment of) a trajectory, a conversation is canceled.
7. Unilateral termination of the process
Both the client and Do Your Thing! always have the right to terminate the basic or follow-up program unilaterally. No compensation is owed if the client has not strictly fulfilled his (payment) obligations, if Do Your Thing! considers that referral to appropriate or specialized help is appropriate or when illness, conflicts of interest or moral incapacity may lead to a lack of objectivity or a limitation of her professional competences. In that case, Do Your Thing! informs the client of this, settles the unused sessions pro rata and refunds the outstanding balance to the client within 14 days.
8. Liability
Participation is on a voluntary basis and at your own responsibility. Without prejudice to the obligations and responsibilities of Do Your Thing!, the client remains responsible and liable for its own decisions, actions or consequences thereof.
Do Your Thing! takes personal responsibility within the framework of its competences for the choice, application and consequences of the methods and techniques it applies and for the professional advice it provides. The service provision is an obligation of means, not an obligation of result.
9. Professional secrecy, deontology and recognition
All services provided by Do Your Thing! is provided by Anne-Marie Buedts, recognized (clinical) psychologist with accreditation number psychologist 781 214 782 I visa no. 288546. Anne-Marie Buedts is bound by professional secrecy and by the deontological code of psychologists (www.compsy.be). The psychotherapy service falls under the law on health care professions and is subject to the law on patients’ rights.
10. Complaints procedure
Complaints about services provided are preferably addressed directly to Do Your Thing! within 10 working days. Similarities of Do Your Thing! are governed by Belgian law. In the event of any disputes that cannot be resolved by mutual agreement, only the courts of the judicial district of Leuven are competent. For complaints regarding the processing of personal data, the client can go to www.privacycommissie.be, for questions and complaints regarding title and deontology to the Commission of Psychologists on www.compsy.be.
